This picture shows every place that we went on 7-13-09. We went to a variety of building that meant much to African American history. We first went to the Universal Negro Improvement Association. This area to us looked abandon but a while later we found out that it was still up and running. It was founded by Marcus Garvey. The next building that we went to was the Church Of Advocate. the importance of the church was that it was a host to a major black power. This building also was home of the eleven women protest in the year 1974. The third building we went to was the Jessie Redmon Fauset. This building was a local historical marker where she used to live. Then we tried to find our way towards 19th an oxford how ever we did not have enough time.
